Join us for an informal picnic at President Lincoln’s Cottage. Please bring your own food and beverages. Family and friends (including children) are welcome.
The Cottage will have their indoors exhibit on Grief and Child Loss available to us to visit.
RSVP here so that we can have an estimate of attendance. Due to current DC Health regulations, we will need to cap attendance at 50.

A few things to keep in mind:
The entrance for President Lincoln’s Cottage is located at 140 Rock Creek Church Road. The entrance is at Eagle Gate. Do not use 3700 North Capitol Street – that is a mailing address ONLY.
President Lincoln’s Cottage is on the federal grounds of the Armed Forces Retirement Home. Security for the Armed Forces Retirement Home requires visitors to provide valid identification at the security gate in order to enter the property. Please come prepared and ready to show your ID.
Visitors three years and older are required to wear face masks per the order of the Mayor of the District of Columbia. Security at the gate may ask to see your masks before allowing you to enter the grounds.
Ample, free parking is permitted in our designated lot only; a bike rack is located behind the Visitor Education Center.
The picnic area, which is located behind the Visitor Education Center, have been reserved for our group. There are 4 picnic tables, which seat 8 adults each. Please feel free to bring blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy in the event that the picnic tables fill up.
At the request of Creative Minds International Public Charter School, visitors are not permitted to use their Play Space Area.
