A note about dcplids (August 2026)
After my daughter Alice's stillbirth 14 years ago, I found such a warm and caring community in you, fellow loss parents. I'm so grateful for you, your children, and your stories over the past 12 years. I have decided that our monthly meetings will come to an end in December (2026), but I will maintain the website for another year and the Google Group indefinitely.
If you are interested in facilitating meetings, please reach out - I'm more than happy to support anyone who feels called to this work. Thankfully, the number of resources for parents experiencing pregnancy or infant loss has expanded greatly over the past years. Locally, Baby Bear Foundation and MIS Share hold support group meetings, along with the regular 6-week series hosted by Adventist Health in MD. Nationally, Return to Zero Hope, PSI International, Star Legacy Foundation, Share, and many more also offer virtual support groups and other resources.
I remain committed to supporting those who have experienced this loss and supporting efforts to improve maternal and infant health. I am always willing to meet or talk if you or someone you know is struggling with their loss or are looking for resources.
Lastly - many, many thanks to President Lincoln's Cottage for their support over the years. Keep an eye out for an in person event this fall.
With gratitude,
Erin

We offer monthly support group meetings to parents experiencing the loss of a child to miscarriage, stillbirth, ending a wanted pregnancy, or infant death. Members are invited to share, but are also welcome to listen until they are comfortable sharing their stories.
Meetings are online, informal, and occur the third Wednesday (or Friday at lunchtime, quarterly) of each month (2025). In 2026, monthly meetings will be the third Friday of the month at lunchtime, with quarterly third Wednesday evening meetings. Please view our Calendar for the most current information.
